Women Surviving Separation
Carolyn is a single mother, with two children, whose marriage ended 14 years ago.
Since then she has experienced the full gamut of emotions - from feelings of freedom to abandonment - from highs to the depths of despair.
Carolyn knows first hand how difficult it is to survive the divorce process.
She has a personal interest in emotional recovery. Her own journey being long and heart-felt.
For those of you who may be considering separation, her message is clear.
" Think carefully about decisions to end your marriage. The grass is not always greener and life as a single mother can be very hard. If there is a chance your marriage can be saved, then do everything in your power to achieve this.
If not, move on with dignity - not only for yourself but for your children.
If you are a victim of abuse, please seek help and take action ".
She wants women to anticipate and address important issues to do with consent orders and parenting agreements - not live to regret what they may agree to.
When we go through a divorce, we all come out of it a lot wiser about the system and its pitfalls.
